Jesse Carlton Price, III

Mr. Jesse Carlton Price III , 67, of Jackson, MS passed away Sunday, May, 17, 2025. He was born February 5, 1958, in Jackson. The son of the late Mr. Jesse Carlton Jr. and Mrs. Patsy Price.

Carlton was a retired automobile body man and expert painter. He owned his own shop serving the South Jackson area for many years. He grew up and lived in Jackson. He graduated from Wingfield and learned from the best auto painters. He was known by his friends as " Rudy” and “CP".

Carlton was an avid race fan. He won many car shows throughout the years, including the World of Wheels and Super Chevy. He was known and loved throughout the drag and dirt track racing community. He traveled many miles and saw many racetracks. He made many memories with friends along the way. He also had a love for animals. He kept treats in his pockets when he visited his friends with pets. He is now reunited with his beloved Julio.

His smile touched many and his " Large Time Racing" legacy will live on.

He is survived by his cousin Gerry Lane, Uncle “ Killer” and Aunt Faye Thompson. A group of friends that became his brothers including Joey Baroni, Mike Trosper, Billy Collett, James Agent, Blake Buckley, their families, and countless other friends.

A celebration of life will take place 10am  to 3pm, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Baroni's Body Shop, 57 Riverbend Drive, Brandon, MS 39047.
