Mrs. Jayne Marshall

January 11, 1956 — April 22, 2016

Jennifer “Jayne” Marshall, 60, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at UMMC in Jackson. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26 from 12pm until the 2:00pm service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Burial will follow at Lakewood South. Jayne was a longtime resident of Byram. She was a retired nurse from MS Baptist Medical Center and had a computer degree from Hinds Community College. She loved poetry and writing poems. She also loved her grandchildren more than anything. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was dedicated, selfless, kind hearted and a wonderful caregiver for her loved ones. Jayne was preceded in death by her parents, William Howard Lea, Sr. and Ella Boyte Lea; her husband, James R. Marshall; and her daughter, Crystal Dawn Marshall. Survivors include her daughter, Christie Pittman (Shane) of Byram; her siblings: Sylvia Carr of Utah, Howard Lea, Jr. of Byram, Billie Hales (Bill) of Brandon, Barbara Fry (Robert) of Arkansas, and Rusty Lea (Tommie) of Brookhaven; her grandchildren: Kaelynn Sponseller, Kane Sponseller, Kash Pennington, and Kaden Coats; 1 great-grandchild, Brentley Sponseller; her significant other, Steve Meadows; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Eric Armstrong, Kash Pennington, James Sizemore, Robbie Fry, Will Hale, and Robert Burney.
