Mr. James Harold Jones, 75, went to be with the Lord, August 28, 2008 at his home in Byram. He was born July 20, 1933, in Jeff Davis County. He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired farmer , had worked for Frito Lay for 23 years, and member of First Baptist Church of Byram. His most important accomplishment was being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.\ \ He touched many lives with his warmth and sincerity and loved his family deeply. He is preceded in death by his parents Randolph and Irene Roberts Jones He is survived by his wife Katherine Faye Jones, children James Victor Jones (wife Bobbie) of Mendenhall, Randy Howard Jones of Mendenhall, Van Keith Jones (wife Stephanie) of Byram, Deborah Jan Sykes (husband Tommy) of Crystal Springs, Robert Paul Bush (wife Janet) of Pinola, grandchildren Shannon Jones, Alex and Kaela Jones, Alicia McCraw (husband Ricky) of Gluckstadt, Beckey Holifield (husband Michael) of Crystal Springs, Leah White (husband Kory) of Pinola, Stephen Paul and Daniel Bush of Pinola, great-grandchildren Madison, Jonathan, and Samantha McCraw, and Ethan and Peyton Holifield, sisters Hilda Roberts of Prentiss, Margie Weaver (husband Oscar) of Mt. Olive, Fannie Smith (husband W.J.) of New Hebron, and Shirley Warren (husband Gary) of Clinton.\ \ Visitation will be held Friday, August 29, from 5-8pm at Chancellor Funeral Home at 7225 Siwell Road in Byram and from 12:00 until the 2pm service time Saturday, August 30, at First Baptist Church Byram. Afterwards he will be laid to rest at Mendenhall Cemetery, Mendenhall, MS. \ \ Memorials may be made to the Organ Fund at First Baptist Byram.
