James Bishop

James W."Jim" Bishop Sr., 72, passed away Saturday December 13, 2008 at Central Mississippi Medical Center. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday December 15 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 16 at 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel followed by burial at Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Bishop attended Hinds Junior College, Mississippi State University, and the University of Illinois. He graduated from MSU, majoring in education with a focus on Vocational Education in the area of material behavior and metal trades.\ \ Mr. Bishop is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Julia Bishop, and his sister, Jane Langford.\ \ He is survived by his son, James W. "Spike" Bishop Jr. (Jane) of Pelham, AL; his daughter, Mariann Bishop Hall (Elbert Jr.) of Mobile, AL; his brother, Bob Bishop of Eufala, AL; his sisters: Ann Roberts of Petal and Sue Johnson of Florence; his grandchildren: Briana Bishop, Michael Bishop, Andrew Bishop, Matthew Hall (Adonica), and Megan Hall Floyd; and his great-grandson Riley Hall\
