Jackie Tyer Pyles

Jacqueline "Jackie" Tyer Pyles passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 68 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, June 29^th from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Rev. Malcolm Pinion will officiate.

Jackie was born August 23, 1953, to the late Gerald and Anita Reece in Yazoo City, MS. She has lived in Rankin County since 1979 where she worked as a bookkeeper at Richland Lower Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, reading, shopping, and traveling. Jackie loved to be in the yard gardening, birdwatching, and tending to her plants. She loved going with Ken to their land and going fishing. Above it all, she loved her family, especially her children and grandkids, Nana’s precious loves, as she called them.

Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, Damien Pyles; her sister, Jan Miller; and by her soulmate, Ken Saterfiel. Jackie is survived by her sons, Matthew (Tonia) Pyles of Brandon and Chase (Lyndy) Pyles of Brandon; daughters, Amber Pyles of Richland, Kristie (Tim) Gardner of Florence, Tammy (Lyle) Lane of Pearl, Sonia York of Hattiesburg, and Shelley (Curtis) Cochran of Hattiesburg; brother, Clarence “Buster” (Margaret) Tyer of Yazoo City; sister, Darla Thrasher of Yazoo City; grandchildren, Sydney Pyles, McKenzie Pyles, Jake Pyles, Cali Griffing, Conner Griffing, Mae Pyles, Ainsley Keen, Anderson Pyles, Arlo Pyles, Nicole Thompson, Matt Shows, Abby York, Mary Grace Cochran, Anna Cochran, Emma Cochran, Maggie Cochran, Claire Cochran, and Cierra Cochran; 2 great grandchildren; and caregiver and friend, Annette Banks of Yazoo City.
