Mrs. Iris Rae Whitehead

Iris Whitehead, 72, passed away on February 13, 2020, at Merit Central. Visitation will be Monday, February 17 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Mrs. Whitehead was born to Ira Laird and Ruby Allen Laird in Brookhaven, MS on June 23, 1947. She was a resident of Byram for fifteen years and was employed with Barfield and Associates as a legal secretary. She is survived by her son, Kevin Whitehead of Richland; daughter, Heather Whitehead of Florence, sister, Theresa McCaffrey of McComb; and six grand-children, Adriana, Dylan, Haley, and Fiona Whitehead and Jackson and Mary Elizabeth Coumbe.
