Inez Prine

Inez Prine, 92 years old, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2024, at her home in Terry surrounded by her family.   She was born in Puckett, MS, on March 25, 1931, to Ira Lovitt and Emma Cook Lovitt.   The family will receive friends for a visitation Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.  There will be a Graveside Service Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 2pm at Terry City Cemetery.
 
She was known for her dedication and warmth, Inez touched the lives of many during her career in food service at Terry High School, Byram Middle School, and Gary Road Elementary. Her work brought her immense pleasure, and she cherished the friendships she made over the years.
 
In her free time, Inez found joy in simple pleasures - gardening, cooking, and reading books. However, her greatest loves were reserved for her family and faith. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
 
In mourning Inez's passing are her surviving family members: children, Joe Prine (Kim), Diane Vaughn (Ray), Anthony Prine (Kathy), and Regina Hughes (Mike); and daughter-in-law, Gracie Prine. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jason Vaughn, Richard Prine, Adam Prine, Jacob Prine, Darrell Hughes, Daniel Hughes, and Wesley Prine; along with eleven great-grandchildren.
 
Inez is now reunited in death with her beloved husband, Joseph Prine, and her son, Ricky Prine. Their memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
 
May she rest in peace as her legacy of love and kindness continues to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
