Harris Edward Daniels, Jr

Harris Edward Daniels, Jr. “Eddie” made his transition to heaven on July 8, 2024, blanketed in the love and prayers of his family. He is dad to Ashley and Jessica, Poppy to Millie, father in law to Steven and husband to Sharon. 

Eddie was larger than life and he created his own path that led to wonderful adventures and incredible experiences with a loyal group of lifelong friends. His path led him to Sharon, his wife and friend of 46 years, which resulted in his greatest adventure…his girls… and then came Millie. Their bond was forged over ice cream sundaes, brownies and cherry Kool-aid. They hunted, shot guns and made tannerite explosions all while learning life lessons and very colorful words, most of which took place in his new found sanctuary in Sallis alongside Uncle Gravy. He loved softball, his mom’s Rice Ravishing, his family, The Allman Brother’s Band, his friends, and rooting for his Bulldogs “Hail State”, but most of all, he loved being a supporter and cheerleader for his people. He not only celebrated life’s wins; he knew how to stand beside you during life’s sucker punches. 

His passing was unexpected and he will forever be missed, but Eddie, Ed, Big Ed, Coach Eddie, Mr. Eddie, dad, and poppy knew he was loved and walked into the next life with peace in his heart and the freedom to soar. Rest easy and we will see you soon.
