Gloria Annette Goode

August 3, 1965 — September 27, 2025

Florence

Gloria Annette Goode, affectionately known as Annette, was born on August 3, 1965, in Jackson, Mississippi. With a heart as warm as the Southern sun, she graced this world with her kindness and welcoming spirit before peacefully passing away on September 27, 2025, at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital.

Annette’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love for her family, a passion for storytelling, and moments shared with friends. She met the love of her life, Terry D. Goode, Sr., when they were just teenagers, and their journey together blossomed into a love that never wavered. They married young, building a life filled with laughter and mutual respect; in all their years together, they shared a bond that was apparent to everyone who knew them. Annette cherished their love deeply, and Terry adored her with all his heart.

Her family was the center of her universe. Annette was the proud mother of Terry (Cody) D. Goode, Jr. and Amanda Goode, but her role as a grandmother brought her indescribable joy. She poured her affection into her grandchildren, Brianna, Maci, and Doug, frequently regaling them with tales from her own childhood and creating lasting memories during their visits. The sparkle in her eyes spoke volumes as she shared stories while enjoying fishing trips with her loved ones.

Annette had an undeniable gift for making others feel at ease. Her approachable nature ensured that she never met a stranger. She would often welcome friends and family into her home with open arms, making everyone feel like they belonged. Whether she was sharing a book recommendation or telling a cherished story from years past, it was her innate ability to connect with others that made her so beloved.

In addition to her family, she was deeply connected to her mother, Gloria Musgrove, and her siblings, Wayne (Suzanne) Musgrove, Jr., Daniel Musgrove, and Wendy Musgrove. They shared countless moments that would forever warm their hearts, nurturing bonds that transcended time and distance. Annette formed beautiful relationships with her nieces and nephews, serving as a loving figure who was always there to listen and offer support.

Annette leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved her. She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Elwood Musgrove, and her mother-in-law, Anna Goode, both of whom she missed dearly.
