Mr. George "Frank" Stephenson, Sr.

George W. “Frank” Stephenson, 84, of Florence, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Visitation will be Saturday, September 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. am at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with a Graveside Services following at 11:00 a.m. at Richland City Cemetery. Bro. Michael Flynn will officiate. Born in Baskin, LA, Mr. Stephenson had spent most of his life in the Florence area. He served 9 ½ years in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. Mr. Stephenson was a truck driver with Fleet Equipment and retired after 46 years. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He attended Mountain Creek Baptist Church and had a great love for the Lord. Mr. Stephenson is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Stephenson of Florence; his son Freddie Ward (Stacy), of Cabot, AR; his daughters, Mellette Douglas, of Brandon, Jodie Hedgepeth (Mickey) of Florence, and Susan Lee (Sean) of Olive Branch; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a special niece, Elonore Case and children from a previous marriage Margaret Adams, Patricia Capps and George Stephenson, Jr. Pallbearers will be Bill Rotenberry, Doug Snell, Jodie Ray Sheppard, JR Hedgepeth, Russ Roberts and Brian Barber.
