G.B. "Doc" Bethany, 77, died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at his home.\ \ Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 P.M. Monday and 10 A.M. until the 11:00 Service, Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home, Florence Chapel. Burial is in Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. \ \ A lifelong resident of Florence, Mr. Bethany worked most of his life for Quality Printers and also had a newspaper route for the Clarion Ledger. He was of the Baptist faith and is preceded in death by his First Wife: Judy Ferguson; Son: Lynn Bethany; and brothers: James, Max and Ferrell Bethany.\ \ Mr. Bethany is survived by His Sons: Glenn Bethany of Basile, La, Anthony (Tina) Bethany and Dusty Bethany both of Florence; His daughter: Nicole ( Brian) McLendon of Florence; Brothers: Price Bethany of Florence and Joe Bethany of Lake; Sister: Beth Mahaffey of Ridgeland; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren..\
