Fred Blackwell

Mr. Fred Blackwell, 72, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Garden of Memories.\ \ Mr. Blackwell was a member of the IBEW for over 45 years. He was an avid fisherman.\ \ He is preceded in death by brothers: Lloyd Blackwell, Cecil Blackwell and Lewis Blackwell and a sister, Ann Kennedy.\ \ He is survived by his wife of 51 years, JoAnn Blackwell of Florence; son, Vic Blackwell and wife Denise; daughter, Lisa Blackwell; grandchildren: Carmen Bradshaw and Preston Blackwell all of Florence; sisters: Jewel Smith of Richland, Christine Mangum, Nell Kennedy and Linda Roberts all of Magee; and numerous nieces and nephews.\ \ In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.\
