Frances Cathryn "Cat" Finnegan

Frances Cathryn (Cat) Finnegan went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Jackson, MS. She was 39 years old. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday February 17, 2024, from 3:00 pm  until the 4:00 pm Memorial service in the Chapel of Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.

Cathryn was born on May 5, 1984, to Richard Lee Dennis and Susan Magee Dennis (May) in Jackson, MS. She was a rural route carrier for the United States Postal Service. Cathryn loved her family, especially her 3 girls. She loved to fish and to be outdoors. She enjoyed games like dominos, board games and cards. She was an amazing artist and a HUGE animal lover. Cathryn had a wicked sense of humor and was so much fun to be around. She was strong, brave, and a fighter who battled until the end. She will truly be missed.

Cathryn is preceded in death by her father, Richard Dennis, and sister, Allison Lancaster. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Roger Finnegan of Florence; mother, Susan May (Rusty) of Mendenhall; daughters, Brittani Dennis, Morgan Finnegan, and Caitlin Finnegan all of Florence; nephew, Christopher Lancaster (Emily) of Austin, TX; sister, Meagan May of Bentonia, MS; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Rescue League.
