Eldridge Alton “Al” Beasley, Jr., 83, of Byram, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026.

Al was a native of Copiah County before moving to Jackson and later residing in the Byram area. He was a graduate of Hazlehurst High School and Copiah-Lincoln Junior College. Al was a devoted husband for 62 years and a loving and caring father. He was a cherished “B” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever treasure the love and memories they shared with him. 

In 1964, Al began his career as an athletic sales representative with Hale and Jones, dedicating more than 50 years to the industry. He was an avid sports fan and NASCAR enthusiast. Al also proudly served in the Mississippi Army National Guard with E.O.H. Company Clerk from 1966 to 1972. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Beasley; his father, Eldridge Beasley, Sr.; his mother, Marie Beasley; and his brothers, Skip Beasley and Gary Beasley. 

He is survived by his daughters, Valerie (Jeff) Nutt and Dana (Steve) Crutchfield; his grandchildren, Josh (Breann) Nutt, Jeremy (Rebecca) Nutt, Karlee (fiancé Brandon) Nutt, and Brady Crutchfield; his great-grandchildren, Easton, Hayes, and Ava; and his sister, Glenda (John) Hall. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 10-11am  at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.  Funeral service celebrating his life will follow at 11am. Burial will be immediately following at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst.
