Doris Zelma Froman, affectionately known as Dot, passed away on May 26, 2026, in Pearl, Mississippi, leaving behind a rich legacy of love, dedication, and heartfelt connection. Born on October 25, 1932, in the heart of Mississippi, she lived a life marked by grace and a profound appreciation for the simple joys found in nature and family.
Dot was a woman whose spirit thrived in the outdoors. She found solace and satisfaction in tending to her yard. Her hands were skilled not only in the soil but also in the art of crafting—woodworking, sewing, and various crafts were pursuits that brought her immense joy over the years, showcasing her creativity and meticulous care.
Her heart shone brightest in the presence of her great-grandchildren, whom she adored without reservation. The laughter and innocence of Matthew Westbrook, Colin Westbrook, Brynn Westbrook, Hartleigh Carter, Haisley Carter, Hadlee Carter, and Kinsley Froman were a source of endless delight and pride, underscoring the importance of family in her life.
Her journey on earth was preceded by her devoted husband of 53 years, E. D. Froman, Jr.; her loving parents, John and Bertha Brewer, whose legacy she honored throughout her life, and her dear sister, Mildred Bebe, whose memories she held close to her heart.
Doris is survived by her beloved daughters, Judy Froman of Pearl, Mississippi, and Betty Westbrook (Kenny) of Pensacola, Florida, and her cherished son, Johnny Froman (Patricia) of Braxton, Mississippi. Her legacy extends through her grandchildren: Jason Westbrook (Alice) of Orlando, Florida; Chris Westbrook (Jessica) of Austin, Texas; Courtney Carter (Wilkes) of Pearl, Mississippi; Zach Froman of Pearl, Mississippi; and Billy McWhinnie of Virginia. She also leaves behind her sister Corrine Hudson, sister-in-law Patsy Clements, and her faithful companion Mandy, her cherished fur baby who shared in her daily joys and comforts.
Doris Zelma Froman’s life was a testament to enduring love, creative expression, and the simple, profound pleasures that define a life well-lived. Her memory will forever be a beacon of warmth and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
