Donna Lynn King, a cherished homemaker and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Born on November 18, 1959, in Orange, New Jersey, Donna was raised in Jackson and later made her home in the Florence area for 31 years, where she enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Throughout her years, Donna was known for her devotion to her family and her warm, nurturing spirit. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, singing, and caring lovingly for her chickens and pets. Her creativity shone brightly in her love for traveling, house decoration, and handcrafting, hobbies that allowed her to express her vibrant personality and attention to detail.
Donna’s proudest accomplishments were her children, who she raised with unwavering dedication. Her joy continued to grow with the arrival of her granddaughters and her great-grandson who brought light and laughter to her later years.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Howard Craig King; her son, Craig (Tiffany) King; daughter, Brittany (Jazzmine) King; granddaughters, Molly Quick and Ally Quarles; and great-grandsons, Huxley Quick. Kolby Sykes, Kaleb Sykes and Luke Curtis. Donna’s surviving siblings include sisters; Lori Alderman, Denise (Charles) Foy, Kimberly (Brad) Middleton; brothers, Ron (Brenda) Middleton, Donnie (Nicole) Middleton, and Austin (Bailey) Middleton, along with the bonds she shared with her family were a testament to her loving nature and generous heart.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Donald Edward, mother, Linda Pengitore, and sisters Dawn Middleton and Lisa Oswalt. Their memories remain a treasured part of her life’s story.
Donna Lynn King’s life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and the gentle strength she embodied daily. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. Her memory will be cherished always.
