Donald Earl Brown, a devoted minister of the gospel and cherished member of the Ashland Baptist Church in Ashland, Mississippi, passed away on April 4, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 27, 1930, in Arkansas, Mr. Brown dedicated his life to serving others through his ministry, traveling widely across the United States and undertaking missionary work in Israel, spreading faith and hope wherever he went.

Mr. Brown is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Elsie Brown, with whom he shared a lifelong partnership and mutual devotion. Their daughter, Becky Brown, and grandson, John Roy Daniel Jr., also survive him, carrying forward his legacy of faith and family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Abigail Thigpen Brown; his daughter, Wera Gayle Brown Daniel; his first wife, Margaret Ann Smith Brown; and siblings including two brothers and one sister. 

A visitation to honor the life of Donald Earl Brown will be held on April 8, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home Florence, located at 2576 US 49, Florence, Mississippi. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Later that day, at 3:30 p.m., interment will take place at Springville Cemetery, located at 118 Calliope Street in Coushatta, Louisiana.

Donald Earl Brown’s life was a testament to unwavering faith, steadfast dedication, and kindness. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. His contribution to his church, family, and the wider community will be remembered with great respect and gratitude.
