Mary "Dolly" Chapman Martin

Mary “Dolly” Helen Chapman Martin, 84, went peacefully to join her Heavenly Father on September 10, 2022, after a brief illness, with her loving family at her side.

Dolly was born to Archibald and Eula Chapman on January 01, 1938. She was a native of and spent most of her life in the Jackson, MS area. She graduated from Forest Hill High School in 1956 and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was lovingly known as “NeeNee” and will be greatly missed.

“NeeNee” is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard David Martin; sons, Richard “Ricky” (Jennifer) and Michael (Erin); grandsons, Sean (Brooke) and Seth; great granddaughter, Snow; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Archibald and Eula Chapman; and her siblings, Elizabeth “Libby” Berry and William “Sidney” Chapman.

The family sends their deepest appreciation and thanks to caregivers, friends and extended family who have been kind and offered prayer, comfort and support for our “NeeNee” and us.

Funeral Services will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS with the visitation on Tuesday beginning at 5 pm until 8pm. Wednesday from 10 am – 11 am with the service immediately following. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery.
