Dewayne J. Siegel, born on October 7, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2026, in Raleigh, Mississippi.

He was the middle child of heaven side parents Gerald and Annette Howard Siegel and is remembered by his siblings, Joanette “Cookie” Daniels and her husband, Stan, Jerome Siegel and Jeffery Siegel. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Siegel.

Dewayne was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather who is survived by his children of whom he adored, Kerry Anne Wells and her husband, Jason, Jeffrey Tyler Siegel, and his wife, Katie, and Shawn Glenn Siegel. He was a proud grandfather to Krista Hillard, Christopher Kennon, Lane Kennon, Haleigh Wells, Seth Wells, Tyler Siegel, Christian Siegel, Matthew Siegel, Harleigh Siegel, Luka Siegel, Ava Grace Siegel, Ronin Siegel, and Olivia Siegel. Blakley Grace Harper Wells survives him as his sole great granddaughter whom of which brought him immense joy. His joyful influence, love, and charismatic nature will live on in his family for generations to come.

Dewayne bravely defended his country by engaging in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Air Force. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, he could be found enjoying the outdoors by fishing, hunting, golfing or cruising.

Dewayne had a way of making people feel comfortable around him with a simple wink and a smile. Those who knew him will remember his zeal for life, his abundant joy, and his deeply devoted love for his family.

Visitation will be held on January 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church, 319 Hickory Ridge Rd, Florence, Mississippi, with funeral services immediately following at11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Garden of Memories, 2576 US 49, Florence, Mississippi.

Dewayne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on through the family and friends he cherished so deeply.
