Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Furlow, 55, passed away October 7, 2023 in Starkville, MS. She was born May 29, 1968 in Ohio to Reece Furlow, Sr. and the late Kathryn Parker Furlow. She grew up in Plain City, Ohio and has been a Mississippi resident for many years.

Debbie's educational background played an important role in shaping her career path. After graduating from Florence High School in 1986, she pursued higher education at Hinds Community College then on to Mississippi State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in business management. An avid fan of the MSU Bulldogs, Debbie exemplified true loyalty to her alma mater.

Debbie's professional journey was characterized by diverse experiences and commendable dedication. She had the privilege of working at the MSU Coliseum, where she undertook a range of responsibilities - from working at a desk to driving vans and on occasion when the need arose, she was open to transporting students, alumni and visitors.  Her tireless efforts were also evident during her tenure as a dispatcher for MSU Security followed by a career at MSU Continuing Education.  Additionally, Debbie served as a senior Product Manager for Microtek in Columbus for 20 years, a role that required extensive travel across the country. Her most recent position was as a Patient Access Representative at OCH Regional Medical Center, where she strove to provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients in any way possible. Debbie's work ethic was resolute, and she earned a reputation as a dependable employee in every role she undertook.

Beyond her professional achievements, Debbie will be fondly remembered for her love of animals. She had a special place in her heart for cats and adopted many from animal shelters throughout her life. Furthermore, spending time with loved ones brought immense joy to Debbie's life. Family gatherings were particularly cherished moments for her, especially when surrounded by her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to her professional pursuits and passion for animals and family, Debbie had numerous interests that brought her happiness. She possessed impressive cooking skills, and her macaroni and cheese were renowned among those fortunate enough to taste it. Music and dancing held a special place in her heart – she knew the lyrics to every song that played. Debbie actively participated in the Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church in Starkville, fostering deep connections with fellow worshippers.

Debbie's friendly demeanor and love for others endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kind and supportive nature left an indelible impact on the lives of those around her, and she was cherished by friends and acquaintances alike. She is a daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend who will be missed greatly.
