Darron Nathaniel Pointer, 25, passed away on May 1, 2026. Darron was born on January 9, 2001, in West Point, MS: to James (Jimmy) Pointer and Angela "Angie" Watson. He worked mostly in construction and was a hardworking painter. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh, always having something comical to say. He was a dad, husband, son, grandson, brother, and uncle. He married Brooklyn Brooks, the love of his life on February 19, 2025 in Hinds County, MS.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Bennon "Skinny" and Linda Rhea and his maternal grandparents; Dianne and John Watson, all from West Point, MS and he had a bonus grandma Rosie DeLoit from Russellville, AL.

We will have a private service for the family and close friends at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram MS and will not have a public visitation. Aubrey Pridgen will officiate.

Survivors include wife Brooklyn Brooks Pointer of Hazlehurst, MS: two daughters Amethyst Arya and Violet Rose Pointer of Hazlehurst, MS: dad, James Pointer (Sharon) of Hazlehurst, MS: mom Angela "Angie" Watson (Sandy DeLoit) of Russellville, AL: Sister Brooke Watson of Starkville, MS: Brother Matthew Belk of Greenwood, MS: brother Warren(Lexie)Watson of Leighton, AL: brother Jacob Pointer of Russellville, Al: sister Chloe DeLoit of Russellville, AL: sister Estelle Pointer of Gulfport MS: three nephews and a niece Kashton, Kolten, Koda Wraylen: and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
