Dale Martin Moody, of Richland, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at UMMC in Jackson, MS. He was 82 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, May 15th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church in Jackson, MS and again on Monday, May 16th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service all at the church. He will be laid to rest in Florence City Cemetery following the service. Dale was born October 15, 1939, to the late Burl Martin Moody and Esther Roberts Moody in Fitler, MS. He has lived in Richland since 1968, moving from Jackson where he was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church since 1967. He loved his church, where he served as a board member and usher, and his church family members dearly. He retired from Midland Container Corporation as a shipping supervisor. After his retirement, he was a business owner and entrepreneur. Dale loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandbabies. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his siblings, Nila Miley and Burlene King. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Marie Moody of Richland; his daughter, Shala (Joe) Coley of Richland; his son, Barry (Twyla) Moody of Georgetown, TX; his grandchildren, Lauren (Marcos) Labra, Nicole (Charlie) Lethin, Ava Grace Coley and Wyndham Coley; great grandchild, Isaiah Labra; siblings, Tommy (Sharon) Moody of Byram, Brooks Moody of Florida, Camilla Moody of Jackson and Steve (Angie) Moody of Southaven; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
