Obituary

Claude Con Boyd III, a dedicated bails bondsman and the proud owner of B&B Bail Bond Company, passed away peacefully at his home on March 25, 2026. Born on August 16, 1965, in Hinds County, Claude's life journey was marked by unwavering commitment to his family, career, and community.

Raised in his earlier years in Jackson, Claude spent the majority of his adult life in Florence, where he became a respected member of the Marvin United Methodist Church. His faith and fellowship were constants that grounded him throughout the many challenges and triumphs he encountered.

Claude was known for his tireless work ethic, often described as a workaholic who found purpose and satisfaction in his profession. Outside of his professional endeavors, he nurtured a passion for being a Ham Radio Operator, a hobby that demonstrated his curiosity and connection to the wider world. Additionally, he enjoyed working on automobiles, a pursuit that reflected his hands-on nature and mechanical skill.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Eloise Steen Headrick; his father, Claude (Melody) Boyd; his son, Josh (Annie) Boyd; and his cherished grandchild, Ada Boyd. These family members carry forward his legacy and the many values he instilled in them. Claude’s passing also marks a poignant moment for those who remember his late wife, Lisa K. Boyd, his sister, Sherry Kaye Headrick, and his grandparents, all of whom preceded him in death.

Claude Con Boyd III’s life was characterized by steadfast devotion—to his family, to his work, to his community, and to the quiet joys of his interests. He leaves behind memories of dedication, kindness, and resilience. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
