Cindy Dear Winstead

Cindy Dear Winstead passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Jackson, MS. She was 66 years old.

Cindy was born on August 26, 1958, to Joy Calder, in Jackson, MS. She was the adopted daughter of Glen and Leatha Teasley. She was married to the love of her life, Phillip Winstead, for 43 years and loved being a wife, mother, and housewife. Cindy loved children and was a substitute teacher for 10 years at Florence. She loved God, people, and going to church. Throughout her 5-year battle with cancer, you would never catch Mrs. Cindy without a smile on her face. She was a true servant who lived out the words of Jesus in always being there and taking care of anyone in need. She will truly be missed.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Leatha Teasley; and son, Justin B. Winstead. She is survived by her mother, Joy Calder of Starkville, MS; husband, Phillip Winstead of Florence, MS; son, Jason Winstead of Florence, MS; daughters, Rachel Winstead of Florence, MS and Tara Hoover of Forest, MS; brothers, Bert Parker (Wanda) of Westpoint, MS and Scott Rivers (Sheila) of Westpoint, MS; and grandchildren, Justin Brody Winstead and Easton Tanner Winstead.
