Chellie Gail Kelley

Chellie “Gail” Kelley passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at her home in Richland, MS. She was 81 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Chancellor Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS.

Gail was born on April 11, 1944, to Frenchie Bunch and Drucy Dickerson Bunch in Waynesboro, MS. She worked for the Rankin County School District as an Assistant Teacher at Richland Elementary and secretary at Richland High School. Gail’s proudest achievements and accomplishments were her daughter and her grandchildren. She was well thought of and respected by all who knew her. Gail will truly be missed.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Craig Bunch; and sister, Shirley Kulhanek. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Alfred Kelley; daughter, Johna Heflin; and her grandchildren, Jessie Heflin, Josh Heflin (Jordan), and Jeremy Heflin.

Pallbearers: Scott Russell, Jay Adams, Josh Heflin, Jeremy Heflin, Cam Harveston, and Hagen Russell.
