Charles Reginald King

Charles Reginald “Reggie” King was reunited with his youngest daughter in the Heavenly realm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 66 years old while surrounded by his girls. The family will have a memorial service from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Cleary Pavilion in Florence, MS.

Reggie was born on August 23, 1957, to Charles King Jr. and Alice Malone King in Jackson, MS. Reggie grew up loving the outdoors. He also enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing, hotrods, friends, and family.  Reggie could always be found on Sunday afternoon with the NASCAR race on TV and his famous porkchops on the grill. He was a certified welder and a master metal craftsman that dabbled in metal creations, like his “Intimidator” that frequented Talladega with him, photography, and poetry.

Reggie is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice King; daughter, CJ King; brother, David King; and sister, Alyson King. He is survived by his daughters, Dana King and Christina Holder (Trey); grandchildren, Canyion Kendrick, Saige King, and Graham Holder; and the love of his life, Sharon Martin.
