Charles Herbert Jones, Jr.

Charles Herbert Jones, Jr., better known as Buddy, a lifelong resident of Richland, MS, passed away at his residence March 9, 2024, at the age of sixty-nine. He was born in Jackson, MS, on November 27th, 1954. Buddy was known for his love of motorcycles and hot rods, which were among his favorite hobbies and interests throughout his life.

Charles was the beloved son of Charles H. Jones Sr. and Joycelynn "Joyce" Jean Bailey Jones. He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Jones; daughter Tina Jones; son Charles Jones and daughter-in-law Jessica; grandchildren Kalynn Howard, Taylor Jones, Colvey Clark, Trevor Gibbons, and Abigail Jones; great-grandchildren Aiden Jones and Rylie Jones; sister Tammy Stubbs and her husband David; brother Russell Jones, sister Joyce Payne and her husband Keith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In the hearts of those who knew him, Buddy will be remembered for his passion for motorcycles and hot rods, his unwavering love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him with his warm smile and kind spirit.

Charles Herbert Jones, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be forever held dear by his family and friends. May he rest in peace knowing he was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

Buddy's family and friends will gather to honor his life at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Mississippi. The visitation services will take place on March 13th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on March 14th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on the same day at the funeral home starting at 11:00 AM. Following the service, a graveside service will be conducted at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, Mississippi, at 12:00 PM.
