Charles Wayne Brasher, of Brandon, MS, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
Born in Pontotoc, MS. The first born of John Truman Brasher and Marguerite Ray Brasher on July 16, 1939. Charles lived in the same community most of his life. He was a friendly and generous man which served him well in his sales career with the Campbell’s Soup Company from which he retired more that 25 years ago. 30 years ago, Charles met and married Judy Cook Green Brasher, the love of his life. Together, they enjoyed owning and operating 49 South Antiques for more than a decade. It brought him joy to interact with the vendors and customers. Charles was active at Lakeshore Church where he maintained many lifelong friendships.
Charles and Judy loved traveling many places and have the pictures to prove it. They were always up for a road trip to spend time with their grandchildren and great grandchildren, who are at the heart of all their best memories together.
Charles is preceded in death by Judy, his parents, as well as his brother, Ross and his granddaughter, Elayna Rogers Johnson. He is survived by his only daughter, Cyndi Johnston (Allen) and their son, Jake; his stepdaughter, Kathy Rogers (Bryan); grandchildren, Kailey Vick (Robert), Russell Johnson, and Nate Rogers (Courtney); and 5 great grandchildren, Archer, Sydney, Clara Vick and Wesley, and Lottie Johnson; his stepdaughter, Patricia Bronson (Michael).
