Carolyn Ann Benton

Carolyn Ann Benton left this world on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at her home in Jackson, MS surrounded by family.  She was 81 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. The celebration of life will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Carolyn was born on December 11, 1942, to James and Media Saxon in Mt. Olive, MS. She lived most of her life in Jackson. Carolyn worked for School Pictures, and Presto Manufacturing and retired from Packard Electric. She was very much into family and enjoyed tracing her family genealogy. Carolyn was a matriarch, and her home was where everyone gathered. She was the family anchor for direction and advice. Carolyn loved flowers, gardening and watching old TV shows. She will truly be missed.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Pam Ballenger (Danny) of Richland, MS, Donna Breazeale (Robbie) of Florence, MS, and Kathy Wolf (Brian) of Braxton, MS; sister, Judy McQueen of Utica, MS; grandchildren, Brandy Jones, Brandon Ballenger, Stephen Fairchild, Morgan Smith (Nathanael), Kaleigh Fairchild, and Molly Pearson; great grandchildren, Kathryn Jones, Lauryn Jones, and Amery Smith.
