Billy Lloyd

Billy Lloyd, 80, loving son to Fred and D’vo Lloyd and sister Jane Ann, passed away peacefully in the early hours of May 29^th, after a battle with glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumor.  Billy was born in Forest, MS where he spent his entire life.  He was a proud resident and ambassador of Forest and his community. 

Billy had a great sense of humor.  He entertained people and kept them laughing with his many stories.  He was definitely a people person.  It was hard to be around Billy and not have a good time.

Billy loved to travel with Jane Ann.  They spent a lot of time together.  It was only fitting that Jesus called them home together, just 2.5 – 3 hours apart.  At Willow Creek, where they were both residents at the time of their deaths,  Billy would make regular trips down the hall to check on Jane Ann, until his health prevented it.  But she was never far from his thoughts.  He would always ask about her, even when he could not make it down the hall.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jane Ann.  He is survived by nephews, Paul Mason & Greg Mason, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

We would like to share our appreciation to the Staff of Willow Creek Rehab and Nursing Facility in Byram.  Their loving care and compassion for them and all our family is deeply appreciated.  Words cannot express how much it means to us.

Visitation is planned Friday, June 2 from 9:00 – 11:00, followed by the Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS.  If you would like to come pay your respects, please feel free to attend.

In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations to the Glioblastoma Foundation or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
