Billy Keith Ashley, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, in Terry, Mississippi. Born on February 4, 1940, in Raleigh, Mississippi, 

A true sportsman at heart, Billy loved playing pool and golf, activities through which he found camaraderie and joy. Alongside his passion for games and sport, he was an avid bird watcher, often spending peaceful hours immersed in the observation of nature’s delicate wonders. 

Billy honorably served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. His commitment to this role was a significant aspect of his life, demonstrating his sense of duty and patriotism.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtis Georgia Ashley; his brother, Tommy Ashley; and his beloved wife, Peggy Joyce Ashley. 

Billy is survived by his sister, Patsy Pace, and his stepdaughter, Connie Patton. They, along with countless others, carry forward his legacy of kindness and warmth.

Billy Keith Ashley’s life was one of quiet strength, heartfelt dedication, and a genuine appreciation for the simple pleasures. He will be remembered with respect and affection by all who knew him.
