Annie Lou Cook

Annie Lou Cook entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at her home in Star, MS. She was 84 years old. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Star Cemetery in Star, MS.

Annie was born on October 16, 1939, to Dempsey Lee and Dell Smith Lee in Star, MS where she was a member of Star Baptist Church. Mrs. Annie loved gardening and working with her flowers. She enjoyed crafts and making quilts for all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the Cardinals and Rebels. Mrs., Annie will truly be missed.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Cook; brothers, Dempsey, Roy, Tommy, and Ray Lee; sister, Myra Morgan; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Cook. She is survived by her sons, Mike Cook (Debbie) and Richard Cook both of Star, MS; grandchildren, Blake Cook, Brandy Byrd (Adam), Kyle Bell (Cassie), Wes Wray (Elizabeth), Chad Wray (Susan), and Jeremy Wray (Jamie); 13 great grandchildren; sister, Nina Pugh (Richard) of Star, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
