Annie "Ann" Mae Ainsworth

Mrs. Annie “Ann” Mae Ainsworth passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Plainview Assisted Living in Richland. She was 88 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 21^st from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, June 22^nd from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. She will be laid to rest following the service at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland.

Mrs. Ainsworth was born November 6, 1933to the late Hollie and Lizzie Fortenberry, Sr. in Simpson County, MS. She moved to Richland in 1959 where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland. She was a loving wife and mother. Also, she enjoyed opening her home to keep many children over the years. Her favorite hobbies were traveling and working in the yard.  

Along with her parents, Ann was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ed Ainsworth; brothers, H.W. Jr., Homer, Howard, and Lewis Fortenberry; and sister, Johnnie Shows. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Hall of Richland, Kathy (Ray) Richardson of Florence; and Lisa (Ken) Simpson of Madison; grandchildren, Trey (Kim) Porch, Brandy (Scott) Russell, Jerry (Ashley) Richardson, and Ryan Simpson; great grandchildren, Matthew Porch, Hagen Russell, Hannah Porch, Reagan Russell, and Raelynn Richardson.
