Ann "Jeannette" Morgan Kees passed away on April 13, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was 58 years old. The family will be holding a celebration of her life on her behalf at a later date, at their home in Terry, MS.

Jeannette was born on June 18, 1965, to William Dempsey Morgan and Theresa Elizabeth Walton in Hazlehurst, MS. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Crystal Springs, MS. Jeannette was a hard working woman who ran a repossession company for years until her health would not allow her work anymore. Jeannette was described as a loving woman; she loved her family, and especially her husband of 38 years; Jerry Jay Kees who was most certainly the love of her life. They enjoyed a wonderful marriage and had a special bond that is very rare and very hard to find. She was a good Mother, always taking care of her children and always instilling the same work ethic and values into her kids that she lived by herself. She exemplified what it meant to show the true love of Christ to others, even known to take in her sons’ friends and help raise them; showing them a better life, and what it meant to have a family. She loved dogs; especially her Taz, or as known to her by Fattie Momo. Jeannette would often share her favorite treats, the Swiss cake rolls with Fattie Momo. As her daughter Carice described, "if mama had it, so did Fattie Momo". She loved her flowers and anything purple which was her favorite color, she was woman with a true servant’s heart that would give you the shirt off of her back, she had a special personality and was a special person. To know her was to love her and she will be truly missed.

Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Michael Alexander Kees and grandson, Cory Alexander Kees. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 38 years, Jerry Jay Kees of Byram, MS and daughter, Carice Leann Kees of Byram, MS.
