Anita Kennedy Adcock passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday May 28th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with funeral services being held on Saturday May 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and laid to rest at Richland City Cemetery. Anita was born Sept 25th, 1953 at Magee General Hospital in Magee, MS. to the late Curtis Hilton Kennedy and the late Hazel McWilliams Martin of Magee, MS. Anita married the love of her life Dennis Adcock and settled in Florence, MS where they celebrated 38 years of marriage. She retired from Eaton Inc. after 35 years as a machinist. Anita’s approach in life was all about her family. She enjoyed cooking for family, traveling as much as she could and was an avid gardener in her free time. In addition to her parents, Anita was predeceased in death by a sister Curlane Smith of Mendenhall, MS, a brother David H. Kennedy of Magee, MS and a daughter Denise Hubbard of Florence. Surviving in addition to her husband Dennis Adcock are her sons James (Kristi) Adcock of Florence, Allen (Lisa) Robertson of Sedgwick Kansas, Jeff Adcock of Florence, Justin (Andrea) Adcock of Florence, and daughter Tammy (Joey) Jeans of Olive Branch, MS and sister Brenda (Van) Johnson of Kenner, LA. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her K9 companion Cotton.
