Allen Wayne Loftin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 15, 2026, in Raymond, Mississippi. Born on April 21, 1953, to Joe Pat Loftin and Ella Skates Loftin of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Allen's life was one defined by deep family bonds, dedication, and a steadfast presence that enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Allen learned early the values of commitment and compassion, traits that would guide him throughout his life. He carried these qualities into every relationship and role he took on, leaving a lasting impression on his family and community. He was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1972. He continued his education at Hinds Community College where he received an associates degree. He worked several places til he found his home at Sysco Food Services. He worked there from 1983 until his retirement in 2016, as the Director of Facilities.

Allen loved his church, Jackson First Assembly of God where he served as a deacon for almost 50 years. He loved his church family and he faithfully served wherever he was needed.

It can be said that Allen felt the best part of his life was his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son and attending ball games for his children and then grandchildren. He had a "Green thumb" for gardening especially growing tomatoes. He found great solace in woodworking in his shop, creating things with his hands. He had a special fondness for antique trucks and was restoring one with plans to show it at classic truck shows.

He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of almost 53 years, Judy McGowan Loftin, whose partnership was central to Allen’s life. Together, they built a family grounded in love and support, raising their children with care and guidance. Allen is also survived by his son, Allen Joseph Loftin (Leslie), and his daughters, Jennifer Loftin Mosquera(Vinnie) and Courtney Loftin Fleming (Jared). His children remember him as a source of strength and gentle wisdom, always there to encourage and uplift. He is survived by his sister, Sharlene Schlichtman (John) as well as his beloved grandchildren: Griffin Fleming, Caden Fleming, Cooper Loftin, Mavrick Loftin, Jackson Mosquera, and Isabella Mosquera.

Allen is preceded in death by his father, Joe Pat Loftin, his mother, Ella Skates Loftin, and his brother, Joe Pat "Butch" Loftin, Jr. Their memories and legacy remain woven into the fabric of the family Allen cherished.

The impact of Allen’s life will be honored through a series of services that invite friends, family, and community to gather in memory and celebration. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home Byram Location, 7225 S Siwell Rd, Byram, MS 39272. A second visitation will take place on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Jackson First Assembly of God, 6339 State Hwy 18 W, Jackson, MS 39209. The funeral service will follow on Monday, July 20, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Jackson First Assembly of God. Graveside will be held at Raymond City Cemetery in Raymond, Mississippi, on Monday, July 20, at 12:30 PM.

Allen Wayne Loftin’s life stands as a testament to steadfast love, family devotion, and the quiet influence of a life well lived. To know Allen was to experience unwavering kindness and enduring support. He had a calm and nurturing spirit that was felt by everyone who knew him. His favorite saying to his children before they would leave the house was, “Ok kids, remember what your last name is”. He always wanted to instill in them the need to be a witness for Christ.
