Alice May Brown

Mrs. Alice May Brown passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, April 16, 2023, in New Mexico.  She was 81 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS.

Mrs. Alice was born on March 6, 1942, to Rufus Thomas Dickerson and Earlene May Smith Dickerson in Beaver, Oklahoma. She was a member of Salvation Army Church. Mrs. Alice loved her family.  She enjoyed traveling, kayaking, lighthouses, puzzles and reading. Mrs. Alice loved seeing the world, nature and camping. She lived for adventure and her family.

Mrs. Alice is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest “Gene” Brown and her sister, Betty F. Sessums.  She is survived by her sister, Carla S. Thompson and a host of nieces and nephews.
