Albert M. Lane

Mr. Albert M. (Bud) Lane, 88 of Raymond went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, August 15, 2008 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 10am Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.\ \ \ A native of Greenwood, MS, Mr. Lane had lived in Hinds County for the past 4 yrs, coming from Brandon and had previously lived in Hudson, FL and Enon, OH. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater and retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, OH. \ \ He was an active member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Byram and had been a volunteer at the Natural Science Museum and the Rankin County Schools Reading Program. He loved hunting and fishing and was a former National Trap and Skeet champion.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents, Earle and Selma Boykin Lane, sister, Sudie Lane LaPlue and brother, Eugene W.
