Obituary

In Loving Memory of Aimee Ellise Bell

Aimee Ellise Bell, 53, passed away on October 27, 2026, leaving behind a world that is a little less bright without her. She was the beloved daughter of Jimmy Harper and Cathye Crutcher Harper of Hazlehurst, Mississippi.

Aimee was a member of Country Woods Baptist Church in Byram, where she shared in the fellowship of her church family. She enjoyed reading and crafting, especially painting, and had a creative spirit that was uniquely her own. She found joy in the little things, whether it was a good nap, a reason to laugh, or simply being surrounded by the people she loved most. Aimee had a sense of humor that could make anyone smile, and her laughter was a gift to those fortunate enough to know her. Aimee was often the one behind the camera, capturing everyone else’s smiles, milestones, and special moments. She wanted to make sure that the memories her family created together would never be forgotten.

Above all else, Aimee’s greatest love was her family. Her husband and children were her heart, her pride, and her greatest joy. She treasured every moment spent with them, from cheering on her children at their sporting events to celebrating their accomplishments and being present for the ordinary days that became extraordinary simply because they were together. She loved fiercely, supported endlessly, and found her greatest happiness in watching the people she loved live their lives.

Aimee was the kind of person who did more than light up a room when she walked into it; she changed it. She had a way of bringing warmth, laughter, and light into even the darkest days. She was a ray of sunshine when life felt heavy, a comfort when things were hard, and a reminder that there was always something to smile about. She did not have to try to make people feel loved or make a moment memorable. It was simply who she was. The world was brighter with Aimee in it, and everyone who knew her was blessed to have experienced her light.

We believe God created each of us with a purpose, a mission that only we can fulfill. Aimee’s mission was to love others the way Christ loves us with a selfless heart, endless grace, and a light that could reach even the darkest places. She reflected the love of Jesus in the way she cared for others, brought laughter into difficult days, and made everyone she encountered feel a little more loved. Scripture reminds us that we are called to be the light of the world, and Aimee lived that calling in a way that will never be forgotten. Though our hearts ache that her time here was so short, we find comfort knowing that she fulfilled the purpose God placed on her life.

Aimee was preceded in death by her father, Jim Harper, and her mother-in-law, Farilyn Bell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Bert Bell; her children, Harper Bell (Adriene), Annellise Bell, and Jay Bell; her sister, Allison Foil (Kyle); and her sister-in-law, Erin Putnam (Todd).

Aimee will be remembered for her love of family, her creative spirit, and the countless memories she captured and cherished along the way. Her love and encouragement will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, especially her beloved husband and children.
