Mr. William "B Earl Bohrn

December 28, 1923 — October 9, 2021

Mr. William “Bill” Earl Bohrn, passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at MS Care Center in Morton. He was 97 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, October 16th at 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Richland. A Graveside Service will follow at Springridge United Methodist Church Cemetery in Terry, MS. Bill was born December 28, 1923 in Deep River, Iowa to the late James A. and Sylvia E. Bohrn. He was Retired United States Air Force where he served his country proudly during WWII and Korea. His services during WWII included 35 bombing missions over Germany and occupied Europe. Following his retirement from the USAF, he retired from Civil Service. He loved to travel most of the US and was a “Snowbird” that lived between Mississippi and Michigan for over 30 years. He raised five children on his farm in Dafter, MI where he was also an active member of Dafter Presbyterian Church. He was a charter member of the Dafter Lion’s Club and served on the Rudyard Area School Board for 18 years. While in MS, he attended First United Methodist Church of Richland. He enjoyed playing Cribbage with his family and friends and he loved working at the Lion’s Club Snack Shack. Along with his parents, Mr. Bohrn is also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mary Valora Bohrn; siblings, Helen Bohrn Strasser, George Bohrn, Hazel Bohrn, Doris Bohrn Strasser and Myron Bohrn; and by his children, Debbie Bohrn and Tammie Brown. He is survived by his children, Cindy (John) Brogan of Richland, Brad (Jackie) Bohrn of Dafter, MI, and Kim (Rick) Barnes of Pelahatchie, MS; grandchildren, Glenn Brogan of Brandon, MS, Leigh (Robert) Hancock of Florence, MS, John (Lee) Barnes of Brandon, MS, William (Jessica) Barnes of Brandon, MS, Vallerie (Michael) Lacey of Brandon, MS, Bobbie Brown of Savannah, GA, Melissa Brown of Arizona, Dustin Brown of Washington, and Erin Bohrn; great grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Brogan, Blair Hancock, Kaylynn Buskirk, Cole Buskirk, Michael Alan Lacey, and Emma Grace Lacey; and by his siblings, Harold Bohrn and Morris (Fay) Bohrn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dafter Presbyterian Church, Dafter, MI or First United Methodist Church of Richland Building Fund, Richland, MS.
