Verlin Johnson Sutherland

Verlin Johnson Sutherland, 92 of Terry, formerly of Crystal Springs passed away peacefully Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Copiah County Living Center. Visitation is 9:30am Friday, March 10, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with a chapel service beginning at 11:00am. Verlin was born in Crystal Springs, MS to the late Robert and Nannie Johnson. She was a longtime member of Crystal Springs United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, quilting and crocheting. She was passionate about fishing and had spent many hours at Eagle Lake fishing off the pier. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She is preceded in death by her son, James Ray Moore. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 30 years, Albert Lee Sutherland, Jr., son; Dillard Clayton Moore of Ridgeland, step-sons, Mark Sutherland of Vicksburg, and Mitchell Sutherland (Tammy) of Arlington, TX, one brother, Elzy Johnson (Pat) of Crystal Springs, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
