Rev. Tommy Joe Randall, 66, a native of Rankin County, MS and current resident of Kaufman, TX went home to be with Jesus while surrounded by his family on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, October 25th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th at Shiloh Methodist Protestant Church in Sallis/Thomastown, MS with visitation one- hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Born in Jackson, MS to George Arinder and Gertrude Gilbert who preceded him in death, Tommy lived most of his life in the Florence area before moving to Texas to be near his children five years ago. While in TX, he was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Mesquite, TX. Tommy worked at Binswanger Glass for 22 years and was an assistant pastor for over 10 years in Rankin County. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, reading, and studying the bible. He was also a master at cooking BBQ. Rev. Randall is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Odom Randall of Kaufman, TX; his daughter, Tracie (Joshua) Crosswhite of Kaufman, TX; his son, Todd (Michelle) Randall of Sherman, TX; grandchildren, Landon Crosswhite, Gracie Randall, Caiden Crosswhite, and Eliana Randall; his sister, Teri Lyn Burkes of Mount Olive, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
