Mr. Tal Langston

Dewitt Talmadge Langston IV, known to his friends and family as Tal, passed away on February 26, 2021. He was 53 years old. Visitation will be Friday, March 05, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 1:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. The Langston and Russell family requests that masks be worn during the visitation and service. A graduate of Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS, Tal was an electrician and skilled automotive restorer. He loved classic rock and was a World War II history buff. Tal was a kind and generous person. He was a beloved father and son who was always ready to help those that needed it most and he will be dearly missed He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewitt T and Mary Lee Langston of New Hebron, MS and Lewis and Inez Magee of Prentiss, MS and his father, Dr. Dewitt T Langston III of New Hebron, MS. He is survived by his mother, Gaile Magee Russell and step-father James Russell of Terry, MS; sons, Matthew Langston of Memphis, TN and Jordan Langston of Pass Christian, MS; granddaughter, Lydia Langston of Memphis, TN; sister, Alisa Self of Pearl, MS; brother, Michael Russell of Terry, MS; two nieces, Lindsey Bishop and Ashley Self; and one great grand-niece, Adeline Bishop.
