Mr. Stanley Ricketson

June 12, 1956 - February 20, 2021

Mr. Joseph “Stanley” Ricketson, 64, passed away, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. The family will receive friends, Monday, Feb. 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Stringer, MS. Due to the ongoing Pandemic concerns, face coverings and social distancing is highly recommended. Mr. Ricketson was born June 12, 1956 in Laurel, MS, to his parents Joe and Evelyn Lowery Ricketson and grew up in Jasper County, MS. He has resided in Florence, MS for the past 28 years. Mr. Ricketson was an active member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church where he was active in the “Faith in Action” Sunday School Class and HRBC Disaster Relief. He worked as a serviceman for Southern Pine Electric Power Association for 42 years. Mr. Ricketson was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who devoted his life to his family. He loved the Lord and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Lowery Ricketson and an infant sister. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 38 years, Denise Graham Ricketson; daughter, Audie Ricketson (Matt) Scipper of Jennings, LA; son, Aaron Ricketson of Florence, MS; his father, Joe Ricketson of Bay Springs, MS; his grandchildren: Parker Ricketson, Aubrie Scipper, and Grayson Scipper; his brothers: Gary (Debbie) Ricketson of Moss, MS, Phillip (Lindsey) Ricketson of Stringer, MS, and Kenneth (Lisa) Ricketson of Bay Springs, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in his memory to HRBC Disaster Relief {P.O. Box 1397 Florence, MS 39073.} Online guestbook may be signed at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.
