Shirley Dean Hadley, 65, passed from this life Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 11AM until 1PM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Shirley was born to the late Curtis and Lou Willie Spivey. She lived in Raymond for the past 8 years. She was known as woman with great intuition. Shirley had a funny, outgoing, direct, and candid personality. She loved to walk and work in the yard and was practically inseparable from her dog Prissy. Shirley was also a longtime member of the NAACP. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and 4 nephews, Wayne, Jesse, Carl and Joe Larry Spivey. She is survived by her son Tony Spivey and his wife Maurita of Killeen, TX; 2 daughters, Kimberly Hadley of Philadelphia, MS, and Faith Hadley McQueary and her husband Shawn of Raymond, MS; 4 brothers, James Spivey of Carthage, MS, Bill Spivey and his wife Josie of Newton, MS, Chester Spivey of Newton, MS, Jim Spivey of Walnut Grove, MS; 1 sister, Bernice Huddleston and her husband Charles of Conehatta, MS; as well as her 9 grandchildren, Alexia Hadley, Justice Boler, Jermaine Boler, Jr., Jamia Boler, Tori Spivey, Zachary Spivey, York Robeson, Hannah McQueary, and Tyler McQueary. She also leaves behind 1 great grandchild and a host of extended family and friends.
