Mr. Roy Eric Griffin

Mr. Roy Eric Griffin, 53, of Ridgeland passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 3:00 pm until the 4:00 pm Memorial Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Eric was born in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Jesse Griffin, Sr. and Verna Keys Griffin. He was a lifelong resident of central Mississippi. Eric was known as an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed kayaking with his wife, landscaping his yard and playing guitar. He Loved MSU, “GO DAWGS”! In his younger years, he taught Sunday School, he baptized his son and coached him in baseball and basketball. In 1976, he and his father won the Biloxi Deep Sea Fishing Tournament. Eric his preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Kim Griffin; his son, Corey Griffin; his daughter, Ericka Griffin; his step daughter, Summer Ables; his brother, Jesse Griffin, Jr. (Debbie); his sister Cindy Orr (John); and his nieces and nephews that he truly adored. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the ALS Association.
