Mrs. Peggy Leavone Pevey

Peggy Leavone Pevey, 71, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Friday, June 15th from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 16th from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Mrs. Peggy moved to Florence from Brandon 2 and a half years ago. She loved her family and cooking for them. She enjoyed having cook outs and fishing. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Juanita Smith; and her brother, Bobby Smith. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Roy Pevey; sons, Clay (Melanie) Albright of Florence, Steve (Donna) Albright of Terry, and Michael (Angela) Pevey of Old Pearl; daughters, Stacye (Bryan) Brandon of Byram, Nancy (Cole) Brinkley of Georgia, Michelle (Andy) Davis of Old Pearl, and Amy (Willie) Barbree of Mendenhall; brothers, Billy Smith of Pearl, Tommy Smith of Brandon, Ronnie Smith of Magee; sister, Fay Herring of Magee; 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
