Mr. O.C. Walker

Mr. “O.C.” Walker, 81 joined his Savior in his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 13, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Florence. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, January 15th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Terry Cemetery in Terry, MS. Mr. Walker was born September 22, 1939 in Hinds County, MS to the late John W. and Maude May Walker. He attended Gatesville Baptist Church. He loved working with wood and running heavy machinery on his property at the river. He enjoyed being the boss and liked to think of himself as the “supervisor”. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife, Oreatus Walker; and his siblings, J. W. Walker and Annie Mae Lynch. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Walker of Florence; his son, Chris Walker; step children, Tony (Lynn) Brown, Kristy (Buddy) Davis, and Scott (Deloris) Brown; and his brothers, Allen Ray (Lisa) Walker, Edward (Judy) Walker and Johnnie B.
