Mr. Mike L. Clair

Michael L. “Mike” Clair passed away surrounded by his family at home on Thursday, April 22, 2021. He was 57 years old. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Mike was born March 2, 1964 to Norman and Essie Clair in Forest, MS. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Mike attended McCluer Academy where he was very athletic and played every sport. He worked for UPS for 39 years. In his spare time, he like to fish and watch music videos on YouTube. He loved his family, especially his new grandson, Knox. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Norman Clair; his stepfather, Jim Ryals; and his brother, Keith Clair. He is survived by his mother, Essie Ryals of Brandon; his wife of 33 years, Jerri Clair of Byram; daughter, Sarah (Joseph) Martin of Jackson; stepsister, Samara Traylor of Vestavia Hills, AL; and grandson, Knox Martin. Mike loved animals, especially dogs. With that in mind, the family request any memorials be made to CARA or MARL.
