Mrs. Mary Patricia "Tricia" Balmer

Mary Patricia (Tricia) Balmer died at home in Terry, MS on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. She was 65. A Memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Springridge United Methodist Church on Springridge Road in Terry, MS with the Rev. Pamela Cameron officiating. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1:00 PM at Springridge United Methodist Church. Patricia was born in Utica, MS on July 2, 1951, to Melvin and Gene Breeden. She and her husband resided in Brandon, MS, Cincinnati, OH, Searcy, AR and more recently Terry, MS. She graduated from Utica High School and the Mississippi University for Women where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Library Science. Patricia served for over 25 years as a Librarian for the Cincinnati Public Library System, the University of Mississippi Medical Center Library, and the Jackson Hinds Library System before retiring in 2015. She is survived by her husband Tom Balmer of Terry, their two children, Thomas Balmer, Jr. and his wife Keisha; Brittany Ingram, and her husband James; four grandchildren, Kaleb Gatewood, Tanner Balmer, Alexander Ingram and Remington Balmer, and her brother Melvin (Mel) Breeden, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Brandon, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that you send a contribution to the Springridge United Methodist Church, the Animal Rescue League of Jackson, or just invite a close friend to dinner in her remembrance.
